| The left wants us to use drugs and have abortions. |
Just because people continue to engage in criminal behavior doesn't mean the so called "war on" that behavior is failing and that the criminal behavior should be legalized. Murder is illegal and yet murder still happens. So should we legalize or decriminalize murder?
We have a moral stance to make, a stance that is beneficial to society because it sets an example and gives moral direction to our youth. Every time a leader like Vermont's Governor Peter Shumlin comes out in favor of legalizing marijuana or other drugs, they are sending a message to our youth that drug use is OK. Those who are for abortion rights or the legalization of drugs like to say that "you can't legislate morality", but isn't that what the Constitution and the law are really all about?
We legislate morality all the time. The U.S. Constitution is a religious document based on the moral principles of religion and, in the case of America, Christianity.
Marxists who are presently in control of our country and our state of Vermont intend to tear down these moral guiding principles and tear down religion, in particular Christianity, by telling us that it is wrong to legislate morality, and blame society's problems like those caused by drug use on the fact that we have done so.
They want to legislate immorality. They want people to use drugs and have abortions. They want people to be dependent on and indebted to government. These things are in their power hungry interests.
America is the land of the free, a haven of individual liberty, free speech and thought, but with that liberty comes responsibility. It doesn't mean that we can run around doing whatever we please like wild savages.
