I'm getting tired of listening to the left insult our intelligence by comparing the push to legalize gay marriage to the effort to free the slaves and the 'Occupy' "movement" to the civil rights movement.
Any thinking person can see that they are both false analogies with the aim of disinforming people to their side in an unprincipled quest for power.
Black American slaves weren't sexual deviants trying to gain special rights for their bad behavior, and Black Americans who fought for civil rights weren't dirty, free-loading hippies trying to get a "free lunch", and free everything else, simply because they have nothing better to do with their lives.
If I were black, I'd very much resent both comparisons.
