"But the dirty little secret is there exists an enormous amount of proof that illegal aliens are being registered to vote and they’re being registered as Democrats. And our political leaders know it." - Accuracy in Media
This is why we should be keeping our eyes and ears wide open when we go to vote this Tuesday. If you notice anything unusual, get the attention of an official at your polling place.
Liberty is under attack by the left and by mainstream media. In Vermont, Republicans like gubernatorial candidate Brian Dubie are under attack from every direction. It's amazing and says a lot about his candidacy and the mood of the Vermont electorate that this race is so close in the polls. The state is trending toward a Republican gubernatorial victory. A recent poll by the left leaning Vermont Public Radio has Dubie leading the elitist Democrat Shumlin 44% to 43%. So in reality the Republican probably has an even greater lead.
There are stories this week in the press about the Vermont Legislature possibly deciding this race. This is true of every Vermont gubernatorial contest according to the Vermont Constitution. The same story makes the rounds every two years.
This story and many local stories about Vermont Politics enjoy quoting leftist Vermont political science professors whose mantra generally is that Vermont isn't connected to the rest of the country. I'm tired of hearing from them and they could all be wrong this year.
So make sure you get to the polls Tuesday, but most importantly make sure you vote for the 'Right' candidates... Republicans.

Alaska CBS Affiliate Conspired Against Joe Miller
Sarah Palin told Chris Wallace this morning that her supporters have video of the "corrupt bastards" in the media conspiring against Joe Miller, Republican nominee for U.S. Senate from Alaska.
Unfortunately there is a lot of this corruption going on in mainstream media today, including here in Vermont. They are biased and dishonest. It all starts in the journalism schools and programs which have been heavily infiltrated by the far left.
The American press is no longer free. The conservative blogosphere is the new free press.

Rushdie: Cat Stevens Wanted Me Dead
John Stewart and Stephen Colbert shared their stage Saturday with Islamist Yusuf Islam who supported the idea of murdering Salmon Rushdie.
(AhlulBayt News Agency) - It’s a curious choice, to put it mildly, given Yusuf’s alleged support of the fatwah against Salman Rushdie. All audio of the words he used to allegedly support the fatwah (which he has strenuously insisted he did not do) has been removed from YouTube, apparently at the crooner’s behest.
And here’s Salman Rushdie’s own take, in a 2007 letter to the Telegraph, on what Yusuf meant:
Cat Stevens wanted me dead
However much Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam may wish to rewrite his past, he was neither misunderstood nor misquoted over his views on the Imam Khomeini fatwa against The Satanic Verses (Seven, April 29). In an article in The New York Times on May 22, 1989, Craig R Whitney reported Stevens/Islam saying on a British television programme “that rather than go to a demonstration to burn an effigy of the author Salman Rushdie, ‘I would have hoped that it’d be the real thing’.”
He added that “if Mr Rushdie turned up at his doorstep looking for help, ‘I might ring somebody who might do more damage to him than he would like. I’d try to phone the Ayatollah Khomeini and tell him exactly where this man is’.”
In a subsequent interview with The New York Times, Mr Whitney added, Stevens/Islam, who had seen a preview of the programme, said that he “stood by his comments”.
Let’s have no more rubbish about how “green” and innocent this man was.
Stewart's schtick, where he supposedly calls for civility, is belied by his idiot rantings, his repeated use of the "f" word, and now his choice of entertainment. No wonder Tom Brokaw and the other pretentious losers love him - and that includes too many so-called conservatives who can't wait to go on his show to hawk their books. As for Colbert, well, he doesn't pretend to be anything but a clown. Good thing. Because that's what he is. Mark Levin

Planned Parenthood's War on Science
According to the left, it's right wing conservatives who are warring against science, but the reality is that the left doesn't care about science any more than they care about anything else. Their entire motivation is power and control. They are willing to use any issue or situation to get what they want. They are sociopaths.
The video below is an example of what Planned Parenthood is teaching students on our college campuses today. Here is a partial transcript from it:
We are not going to try to use science or evidence.
Science is not ultimate truth, That's why it's science.
What is inside a body that cannot function outside its host is not a child.
The living, breathing, sentient being... is the one we listen to, not science!
Science cannot be applied to my body.
We're talking about science as if it is something that is absolutely concrete, like there is absolute proof that there is life and there is not life...
Their researchers say that the heart beats in 21 days...There's people on our side and research that says that the heart doesn't beat 'till 24 weeks!
You need to focus on the birth control issue rather than the photos or the scientific evidence...
I have a cold...so I have a virus in my body...and that's also something little and living inside of me...but if i'm going to try and kill it, I'm not going be like, oh no it was a virus thing, I just killed a life, it's not something that...it's not the same thing.

Stewart, Colbert Share Stage with Islamist Yusuf Islam
What I find amazing about this is that two stars from Comedy Central would share the stage with a man who supported the idea of murdering an artist for his remarks on Islam. The producers of South Park got death threats from radical Muslims for attempting to depict an image of Muhammed in one of their recent episodes, and the executive management of Viacom forced them to censor the show in fear of Muslim reaction. Now, two of Viacom’s most recognizable television stars have linked themselves to a man who publicly endorsed that exact kind of threat — as a way to “restore sanity.” - Ed DriscollLink to the full story and video at PajamasMedia

Vermont Dems are Lying about the Tea Party
"Mr. Gibbs is clearly trying to hide his associations with the Tea Party voter suppression and intimidation tactics,” Democratic Coordinated Campaign Director Paul Tencher said. “Vermont’s next Secretary of State cannot be someone associated with the voter intimidation and bullying tactics promoted by the Tea Party." Democratic Party campaign coordinator Paul Tencher
This is a classic example of propaganda. The first half of the statement above is true, the second half is a lie. Jason Gibbs apparently is for some reason trying to hide his association with the Tea Party, who by the way supports his candidacy, and then denying it which makes him a liar also. A liar is a liar whether they are a Democrat or a Republican, but the Tea Party is in no way, shape, or form trying to suppress votes, bully, or intimidate anyone. This lie by Tencher is by far the worse of the two lies and typical of desperate Democrats this year.
Having said that, illegally registered or unregistered voters, or voters without proper ID when asked for it have no business voting. We all have a responsibility as an involved electorate to keep an eye on activities at our polling places when we go to vote Tuesday. We should be looking for any suspicious activities out of place for our cities and towns. Vermont is small enough that many of us know each other and people out of place may be obvious.
This is not suppression or intimidation but the proper maintenance of the integrity of our democracy, which should be a bipartisan effort. Another way to maintain this integrity is to educate ourselves about this election's issues so we are able to cast a knowledgeable, pro-Vermont, pro-American vote.

Vermont Dems Showing Signs of Desperation
Paper: "Corry Bliss, [Republican gubernatorial Brian] Dubie’s campaign manager, said in an interview that Sorrell was acting at the behest of Democratic gubernatorial candidate Peter Shumlin. 'This is just the latest in a long line of ethical lapses by Peter Shumlin,' Bliss said.
Sorrell vehemently denied Bliss' claim. 'I have had zero conversations with the Shumlin campaign,' he said." -
- The Dubie campaign and incumbent Democratic Vermont Attorney General William Sorrel speaking about a raid threatened by the Attorney General on Republican Dubie's campaign headquarters to investigate alleged [non-existent] campaign violations. -
Of course, it isn't necessary that Sorrel and Shumlin speak to each other. The Attorney General knows that Slick Pete would love this and it's in the AG's best political interests. Vermont Democrats are terrified at the prospect of having this potential sweeping power grab slip away from them next Tuesday and will do whatever they see necessary to steal this election. Let's not let it happen.
BTW Brian Dubie is up 20 points in an unscientific Times Argus poll.

October Surprise by Desperate Dems
Barack Obama spoke out on the terror threat today.
There were no explosives shipped from Yemen to the U.S. Our President is a dictator. The video below is all an act. Another ploy by power hungry Democrats who are terrified of losing their hold on the country. Don't be surprised if this isn't the end of these tactics before Tuesday. Don't believe a word of this. Notice how smug and almost happy the President seems to be making this announcement.

“Going forward we will continue to strengthen our cooperation with the Yemeni government to disrupt plotting by Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and to destroy this Al-Qaeda affiliate. We’ll also continue our efforts to strengthen a more stable, secure and prosperous Yemen so that [Islamic] terrorists groups do not have the time and space they need to plan attacks from within its borders.”Creating a more prosperous Yemen will stop Al Qaeda? No. Stopping the Muslim extremists will stop terrorism.

Brian Dubie Goes to Court to Stop 'Raid' by Democratic Incumbent AG's Office
![]() |
| William Sorrel |
"The Democratic Party of Vermont's nominee for Attorney General, exercising his authority as the incumbent office holder, has demanded to enter the campaign headquarters," a lawyer for Dubie's campaign said in a filing at federal court in Burlington. "This is an extraordinary misuse of government power."Unbelievable that the incumbent contender for Vermont AG would take this kind of politically motivated action four days before such an important election. This is Democratic dirty tricks at its sleaziest and typical of what is going on nation wide. The Dems are desperate and deserve to be thrown out of office, all of them.

Vermont Candidate "Accused" of Being Tea Party Member
So now Democrat candidate for Secretary of State Jim Condos has "accused" his Republican opponent, Jason Gibbs of belonging to the Vermont Tea Party. That's bad enough and typical of far left propaganda tactics being used against conservatives this year. What's worse is Gibbs calling Condos' accusations "absurd", as if there's something wrong or disparaging about supporting the Tea Party. This exchange between Condos and Gibbs shows just how far to the left the State of Vermont leans.
Democrats are telling lies about the Tea Party. Conservatives like Gibbs should be pointing this out and not reacting defensively to statements like those of Jim Condos. That is, if they're real Conservatives.
Condos refers to poll watching as bullying and intimidating. Polls should be watched by the citizens to ensure a fair election. I plan on doing a little poll watching myself when I go to the polls. We all should, and here's one example of why in the video below.

Candidate Condos Attempts to Whitewash Voter Fraud
Paper:: "[Democratic candidate for Secretary of State Jim] Condos called on his opponent, Republican Jason Gibbs, to join him in condemning any attempt to intimidate or bully voters. Condos noted that Gibbs is a 'member' of the Vermont tea party and that Gibbs is listed on the group's Facebook page as one of 155 members of the Vermont Tea Party Patriots."
So Condos calls on Jason Gibbs to condemn attempts to bully or intimidate voters because Gibbs is listed on Facebook as a Tea Party Patriot. This is a deliberate attempt by Condos at smearing the Tea Party and Jason Gibbs. Instead, Condos should be joining the Patriots in condemning voter fraud and supporting the Tea Party in their efforts.
The story linked to above also states "A New York Times story Tuesday described tea-party plans across the country to question voters about their eligibility at the polls." The story actually says this: "Tea Party members have started challenging voter registration applications and have announced plans to question individual voters at the polls whom they suspect of being ineligible."
Americans who are concerned about voter fraud have every right to keep an eye on what's going on at their polling places. What these stories refer to is an organized and documented effort which will hold volunteers accountable for their actions if any actual bullying or intimidating (which is illegal) were to take place.
The Democratic Party has a long history of voter fraud including this from 2008. Read this story which spotlights left-wing efforts to demonize citizen election watchdogs.

DUI Video Release Politically Motivated
Background: On Friday November 13, 2009 Vermont State Auditor Tom Salmon was arrested and charged with DUI. His blood alcohol was .086, barely above the legal limit. Salmon admitted his mistake to the officer and stated that he had been celebrating at a Montpelier restaurant. He told WCAX News at the time "It's a very painful situation. I'm very angry with myself and I've apologized to my family and my supporters. I screwed up. I made a mistake. I'm going to face punishment like any other Vermonter for my mistakes and go forward," which he did.
Yesterday, a judge ordered the release of the police video of his arrest for political reasons, to John Franco, a lawyer and Democrat Doug Hoffer supporter. Mr. Hoffer is challenging Salmon for State Auditor in Tuesday's election.
"I'm really annoyed frankly that the Shumlin [speeding ticket] tape got turned over in 24 business days and it's taken me now over two months and two courts, and I still don't have it and it's Oct. 27." Franco said. This statement tells us everything we need to know about Mr. Franco and his motivations in this case.
Mr. Franco won his court case and will have his public record, but there's only one reason he wishes to make the video of Tom Salmon's DUI arrest public before Nov. 2 and that is to embarrass Mr. Salmon. We all know that Mr. Salmon was arrested for DUI and the results of that arrest. He said the hardest part of yesterday's ruling would be its effect on his family.
Mr. Franco apparently doesn't care about Tom Salmon's family but only about smearing an honorable man, and you can't tell me his opponent in the Auditor's race, Doug Hoffer, hasn't cheered this on the whole way.
The fact that Judge Geoffrey Crawford decided to order the release of the video at this time, right before Tuesday's election, makes it a politically motivated decision.

Open Letter To WCAX News RE: Pro-Choice Rally Story
Anson Tebbets
News Director
WCAX News
Burlington, VT
Mr. Tebbets,
I'm writing to point out the incorrect portrayal of Brian Dubie and the facts of your story 'Shumlin rallies with pro-choice advocates' which you posted on wcax.com Sunday 10/24/10.
I feel that Mr. Dubie is correct in contending that abortion really is not an issue this year and that it doesn't matter what his position is on the issue, which is pretty much in a nutshell what he's said.
Here's why: Peter Shumlin incorrectly stated that abortion was illegal in Vermont before Roe v. Wade. Shumlin further implied that should Roe v. Wade be overturned, an act of the legislature would be required to make abortion legal in Vermont."
However, Shumlin needs a history lesson. In 1972, The Vermont Supreme Court invalidated Vermont’s abortion statute, finding it unconstitutional and therefore unenforceable. See Beecham v. Leahy. While no legal experts are predicting that Roe v. Wade is likely to be overturned, the fact remains that the State of Vermont would revert to the Beecham .v Leahy decision and abortion would remain legal.
Peter Shumlin concocted an outlandish scenario for his own purposes and is spreading inaccurate information.
The fact is Senator Shumlin knows this isn't really an issue and has deliberately created a straw man argument to turn pro-choicers against Mr. Dubie. This should be reported as factual news based on the information provided above.
Gina Bullard, in her story stated (as a fact) "Shumlin's opponent, Brian Dubie is pro life, and when asked about abortion in the case of rape or incest, does not answer the question." However, in last month's gubernatorial debate on Vermont Public Radio when Dubie was pressed by Shumlin on his abortion stance, he made the statement that Roe v. Wade is "a law passed by the Supreme Court." Neither the moderators nor Mr. Shumlin questioned him any further on this but it seems he made his views very clear with that statement. He is opposed to Roe v. Wade and the judicial activism that made it possible.
Gina Bullard also made the following statement in what is portrayed to be a factual news story: "Currently Vermont funds low income women's right to make reproductive choices...". Gina refers to "reproductive choices" as if we have all agreed that the phrase is a factual portrayal of what abortion is.
Gina also made this statement as a fact: "Dubie has repeatedly said that abortion laws are not on his political agenda." I don't recall, and he is not quoted here, Mr. Dubie making this statement. The fact is that it's not that it's not on his agenda, it's that it's factually not an issue in this year's governor's race based, again, on the information provided above. This issue has been created out of thin air by the Shumlin campaign and then used against Mr. Dubie.
Thank you very much for listening, and I hope you will correct the facts of this story and report accurately to the Vermont electorate the untruths in Mr. Shumlin's contentions about Brian Dubie and the issue, or non-issue, of abortion as it relates to this year's campaign.

There may not be a huge visible Tea Party in the state. I believe, however, that there is plenty of Tea Party sentiment brewing in Vermont and we may be in for some surprises next Tuesday. Some candidates, like Len Britton, may do better than expected and some close races, like for governor, may not turn out to be as close as we think.
What say you?

Champion of Big Government to Campaign for Peter Shumlin
Vice President Joe Biden who is coming to Vermont on Monday, Nov 1 to help Socialist Democrat Peter Shumlin recently said in a fit of historical illiteracy, “Every single great idea that has marked the 21st century, the 20th century and the 19th century has required government vision and government incentive.”
Mr. Shumlin's only real plan for Vermont is to enlarge state government which is evident in all of his proposed "initiatives", especially his billion dollar health care plan. There is no escaping the reality that if Shumlin is elected governor, Vermonters will see a significant increase in their taxes.
Our health care system and economy in general is in the state it's in precisely because of governmental interference, gross and negligent interference with the free market system. It can't be fixed by even more government involvement in our lives.
Peter Shumlin is advocating more government involvement in our lives while Brian Dubie is doing his best in Vermont's far left political environment to advocate much less.
The choice is ours. Do we really want to risk pursuing the same old tired liberal policies of the past with Peter Shumlin and the Democrats? Or will we instead, rightly reject the pessimism of the left to pursue the freedom and liberty (from government) that is our birthright as Americans with Brian Dubie?

In the video below a local news anchor attacks James O'Keefe of Project Veritas who made the recently posted 'Teacher's Unions Gone Wild' video of NJEA members in which they call black students n*****, talk about slandering [Gov. Chris] Christie, say they want to “f*** with kids,” and brag about rigged elections and voter fraud.

Voting Machine Techs In Nevada Are SEIU Members
Voter irregularities which favor Democrats are already becoming apparent in early voting in Nevada and North Carolina. Michael Savage tonight is reporting that stories are coming in from all over the country of unions (SEIU) rigging voting machines.
Nevada voting machines automatically checking Harry Reid's name; voting machine technicians are SEIU members - Washington Examiner
Since early voting started, there have been credible reports that voting machines in Clark County, Nevada are automatically checking Harry Reid's name on the ballot.
It would be reassuring to know that the Secretary of State's offices in these states were all over this situation.

Abortion Activist: ‘Women Have Abortions Because They Care About Motherhood’
The abortion activist in the video below makes some incredible statements that activists are "under threat", that she is "frightened by a world where women don't have reproductive freedom", and that people don't "really realize" that "women have abortions because they care about motherhood." Abortion is considered to be a "reproductive right" as a part of women's healthcare.
The interviewer, Rachel Maddow talks about doctors being at risk but doesn't mention the 13 million unborn babies who have been killed in America since 2000. The activist, Dr. Elizabeth Newhall, goes on to say that abortion services should be "invisible".

Shumlin Takes One Million Dollars From National Dems
Paper: "National Democratic Party entities, eyeing a chance to win back the Vermont governor post held by retiring Republican Gov. Jim Douglas, have spent a record $999,656 on behalf of party gubernatorial nominee Peter Shumlin".
...and who's the head of the National Democratic Party? Well, technically former Virginia Governor Tim Kaine, but Barack Obama appointed him.
Democratic campaign coordinator Paul Tencher continues to whine about RGA money coming into Vermont while his national party has outspent them by a margin of 2 to 1. They have out sleazed the Republicans by at least the same margin.
According to Vermont mainstream media both parties have engaged in dirty politics but please show me where the Dubie campaign hasn't been honest. I just don't see it. Meanwhile Peter Shumlin has manufactured his entire campaign out of thin air. His whole reason for running is built on lies, half truths and hypocrisies.
The media's problem is that they confuse objectivity with neutrality. The facts however, are never neutral and rarely fair or balanced.
In the recent gubernatorial debate between Peter Shumlin and Brian Dubie on Vermont's WCAX Television, during the portion of the debate questioning the candidates' integrity, Peter Shumlin refused to answer the question and instead, echoing Obama's 2008 rhetoric, made the statement "This campaign isn’t about me. I believe it’s about you. I believe it's about Vermonters", and the moderators let him get away with it.
The Senator has also characterized his campaign as a job interview. I wonder how it would go over if you or I at our next job interview, when asked about our integrity, responded to our potential employer "This interview isn’t about me. I believe it’s about you."? I think we can agree that would be the end of the interview and it should also be the end of the interview for the elitist Senator Peter Shumlin who has shown nothing but condescension and disdain for the Vermont electorate all during this campaign.

Blogger Finds Copy of 'Trickle Up Poverty' In Liberal Capital
This new Conservative blogger was surprised and delighted to have found a copy of Michael Savage's new book, 'Trickle Up Poverty', at one of Montpelier, VT's local book stores today. The clerk who rang me up seemed a little nervous but made no comment on my purchase.
Dr. Savage is partly responsible for my awakening and liberation from the bonds of liberalism for which I am grateful to him.
We have a chance to save Vermont and America from a looming disaster by throwing the Liberal bums out on November 2. Let's do it!

Former Democratic Governor Brown: It's All A Lie… I Didn't Have A Plan (Video)
Today's liberals have one plan and one plan only, and that is to accumulate power and control in a quest to destroy America. They have no core values and will say and do anything to be elected. They will tell the sheeple what they want to hear. What the people don't want to hear is that their concerns are bs.

Lesson for America: The Results of French Socialism (Video)
"Today, as AFSCME’s full name suggests, government unions have permeated every level of government—at the federal, state, county and even the municipal level" - Red State
- Federal workers make an average 22% more than similar private-sector workers (who pay federal workers’ salaries)
- Federal workers’ wages and benefits will cost taxpayers $47 billion in 2011
- State and local retiree health care and pensions are underfunded $3.1 trillion (as compared to $165 billion in underfunded private-sector union pension plans)
- Government unions, nationwide, are campaigning for higher taxes
When it comes to belt tightening, socialism’s apologists (both here and abroad) complain about the ‘breaking of the social contract.’ However, with government unions, the social contract that is talked about is one that they themselves have written by gaming the system by electing politicians who have very little regard for who pays the bill—the taxpayer. This is all being done with our (Public) money. NEA Teachers Out of Control
The Vermont-NEA has endorsed Peter Shumlin for Governor of Vermont. Democrats across the board and the nation support the NEA and vice (no pun intended) versa. Do these teachers and the NEA really deserve our support or should we begin to hold them accountable for their actions and their teaching ability? I wonder if the state employees unions are much different? We're talking about public money here. Our money.

WCAX and Peter Shumlin Are Smearing Brian Dubie
"Brian Dubie is pro life, and when asked about abortion in the case of rape or incest, does not answer the question." WCAX
Brian Dubie has answered this question. WCAX, a news organization, is distorting the truth and helping Peter Shumlin divert attention away from this year's actual issues. This is one way Democrats use to steal elections, even here in pristine Vermont.
First, in a Vermont Public Radio debate last month Mr. Dubie, when pushed by Shumlin on the subject of abortion, referred to Roe v. Wade as "a law passed by the Supreme Court". Clearly anyone who would make this statement is opposed to Roe v. Wade and the judicial activism that made it possible.
The truth is, as the Lieutenant Governor has contended, abortion is not a relevant issue in this year's election. When Peter Shumlin states that abortion was illegal in Vermont before Roe v. Wade and implies that should Roe v. Wade be overturned, an act of the legislature would be required to make abortion legal in Vermont, he doesn't know what he's talking about.
WCAX and the rest of mainstream Vermont media is complicit in allowing this untruth to be perpetuated by neglecting to point out the fallacies in Shumlin's argument.
Here are the facts on this: In 1972, The Vermont Supreme Court invalidated Vermont’s abortion statute, finding it unconstitutional and therefore unenforceable.
So the truth, and the reason why Brian Dubie is reluctant to discuss this issue, is that it doesn't matter and won't matter during his tenure as governor what his position on abortion is.
Bringing up this issue is nothing more than a straw man argument on the Democrat's behalf which is being supported by WCAX Television and most of Vermont's media because they know that most voters in the most liberal state in the union are pro-abortion. They are completely manufacturing an issue out of thin air then using it to smear Brian Dubie.
Our Republican candidate for governor is being set up by the dishonest and untrustworthy Peter Shumlin and a media that refuses to be objective.
This story linked to above is not a news story but a totally one sided opinion piece by WCAX (CBS) Television and it's all a lie.

Just because this is Vermont doesn't mean the Dems won't cheat. Remember, they haven't exactly been running the cleanest campaign in history so far. Their opponents have, and if the mainstream Vermont media were honest, they'd acknowledge this fact.

Public Funds Being Used To Influence Elections
"The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) is now the biggest outside spender of the 2010 elections". ...And they are spending it on Democrats.
In other words they are spending public money to influence the 2010 elections and they are spending it on the party that is trying to destroy America.
In Vermont, the state employees association (VSEA) and others have endorsed Peter Shumlin using public funds.

Shumlin Running On Nothing/ Vermont Unemployment Rate Drops
I can't find the link right now, but I read somewhere recently that only about 1% of potential voters see abortion as an issue in the current Vermont gubernatorial race. In spite of this the Shumlin campaign is fighting (lying) to make it an issue because they have nothing else to run on.
Isn't there something very twisted about the fact that in this 21st century we are still sanctioning the killing (genocide) of unborn human beings simply to suit the convenience of irresponsible parents and far left, "progressive" liberals?
There is nothing in the U.S. or Vermont Constitution that gives a woman the right to kill. Roe v. Wade is an unconstitutional law that was passed by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1973 by activist Supreme Court Justices.
Also today the Vermont unemployment rate drops to 5.8 percent, well below national level, under the Republican administration of Jim Douglas and Brian Dubie.

Democrats Are Using Fear And Lies To Try To Divide Vermonters

| Vermont's next governor Brian E. Dubie |
Abortion is "suddenly front & center in Vt. Governor's race" for one reason and one reason only and that is because the Shumlin campaign doesn't know what they are talking about and are attempting to smear Brian Dubie with lies.
This from Life News from a previous post : Peter Shumlin incorrectly stated that abortion was illegal in Vermont before Roe v. Wade. Shumlin further implied that should Roe v. Wade be overturned, an act of the legislature would be required to make abortion legal in Vermont." -Life News
Why does the Vermont media continue to let Peter Shumlin get away with lies and smear tactics? Isn't it their responsibility to report facts and to call candidates on their lies? Much of the Vermont media seems to be in the tank for Peter Shumlin and the Democrats.
What does it say about the political winds this year that Brian Dubie is running neck and neck with Shumlin in a state where Democrats and Progressives are in control and an election where there is no Progressive spoiler? This writer believes it says Vermont is getting ready to elect a new Republican governor in part due to a backlash against the dirty campaign tactics and dishonesty of the Dems. When you throw mud you end up with most of it on yourself.

Vote Only If You Know What You're Doing
"[E]ncouraging people to vote doesn't advance the common good. After all, we would agree that having an educated populace is a prerequisite for a healthy electoral process. Yet we also know that most people aren't well-educated on the issues of the day. Therefore, it cannot be good for everyone to vote." - Selwyn Duke
Liberals love to bemoan the fact that a relatively low percentage of eligible voters actually end up voting. They are traditionally the ones behind voter registration and get out the vote drives because they benefit from receiving the votes of the uninformed because only the uninformed or the brainwashed could vote for them.
I wonder how many of those who will vote this November 2nd don't know basic facts like who the Lieutenant Governor of their state is. Who is their Speaker of the House or Senator or Representative? I know there are many here in Montpelier, Vermont who don't know who the mayor is. What about the history of their state or United States history? Are the votes of those who don't know these things advancing the common good?
How many voters actually know the issues? How many vote for a certain candidate only because all their friends are or because it's cool to vote for that candidate this year?
In October 2008 before the election, Howard Stern sent a reporter to interview Obama supporters, and found out they favor what Obama is against: Pro-life, Sarah Palin etc. How many people do you know who are exactly like the people interviewed in the video below?

The Shumlin Campaign is Desperate
![]() |
| Vermont's Next Governor Brian E. Dubie |
I've lost track of how many times I've written this, but once again the Shumlin campaign is attempting to divert attention away from the actual issues in this campaign and the fact that he has nothing to run on.
Democratic campaign coordinator Paul Tencher is claiming the "largest campaign finance violation in the history of Vermont." Peter Shumlin has claimed that the tritium leak at Vermont Yankee is the largest environmental disaster in Vermont's history.
The truth is, and this will be talked about after Brian Dubie is elected Vermont's next governor, Peter Shumlin has run the sleaziest, most dishonest gubernatorial campaign in Vermont history.
He continues to lie about Entergy Louisiana, VT Yankee's tritium leak, the state's abortion laws, a speeding ticket, his plans for health care and Corrections in Vermont and his opponent, Brian Dubie. He has also lied about his record on taxes in Vermont and tried to get out of a speeding ticket while simultaneously referring to a voters forum as bs.
Shumlin has unfairly attacked and falsely accused Lt. Gov. Dubie again and again and again during this campaign and deserves the vote of no honest Vermonter.
It says a lot about our Republican Lt. Governor that he's running neck and neck with Peter Shumlin in this gubernatorial contest in one of the most far left states in the union with no Progressive spoiler this time.
The Shumlin campaign is desperate. That's the reason for these recent poll sharing accusations and why he's bringing in big gun Bernie Sanders to help him. Much of Vermont's socialist, progressive political establishment is anti-Dubie, but Vermonters can see through this.
A vote for Peter Shumlin is a vote against the State of Vermont. A vote for Brian Dubie is a vote for freedom and liberty and a renunciation of the tired old liberal policies of the past.
