I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue. -- Barry Goldwater

Worshiping In The Church Of The State

During the recent downtime caused by my computer crash I had the opportunity to reflect on the events of March 21 and 22nd, 2010 and my daily blog entries during that time and since. I started to wonder if some of my views have been too extreme, for example, calling for the arrest of Barack Obama. Had I over reacted to the passage of the national health care bill?
I've always had a strong, instinctive gut reaction to any ideas or philosophies that even hint at being of a
collectivist nature or that people need to be taken care of by the state. I have not been so disturbed, afraid and worried for my country since September 11, 2001. I am sick and tired of listening to those who defend Barack Obama and attempt to minimize the intentions of the national health care bill and the impact it will have on our personal freedoms. There is nothing in this bill worth defending. I don't want my government invading my privacy, possessing my medical and other information, and telling me what to do. Do you?
Our government has grown to the point where it is involved in every aspect of our lives. I repeat, our government has grown to the point where it is involved in every aspect of our lives. This is fascism, and marxism morphed into one monstrous dictatorship. We no longer have a free, independent press. Too many of us are worshiping in the church of the state.
Victoria Jackson is absolutely right, there is a communist living in the White House.
