I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue. -- Barry Goldwater

Defending The Constitution

Maybe those of us who oppose the Obama administration and the government take over of the health care system need to chill out a little bit. Maybe we need to tone it down and stop being alarmists. After all, is it that big of a deal? Aren't there more important things to be thinking about? So the government wants to make the decisions for us that are as personal as health care. So what if the government wants to mandate that we buy a certain good or service and to use an armed IRS to enforce it? So what if the government controls the main stream media so that ordinary Americans have trouble getting their facts straight and don't know who to trust for their information? So what if we don't know who our President is or where he came from? Does it really matter anyway?
There is so much left-wing (marxist) propaganda being thrown at the public that it is virtually impossible to see the truth, and when someone by chance happens to see or hear a bit of truth, they don't believe it. When someone attempts to tell the truth they, by design, come off sounding like a nut, easily disparaged by the MSM as a "right wing" crazy person. We have been lulled to sleep and are so comfortable in our dreamy oblivion that we become resentful of any disturbance.
Over time we have learned that Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, FDR, JFK, and LBJ were all great Presidents. Over time we have learned that the government is good and has our best interests at heart. Over time we have learned to trust the MSM, for they know best and have access to the sources we don't. Over time we have learned to value a public education, to trust the state with our children. Over time we've learned that the fascists and nazis were all extreme right wing when, in reality, the opposite is true. We have learned that progressivism is a good thing. It is, after all, progress. We never asked what it is progressing toward. We've learned that free market capitalism is a bad thing. Capitalism is now a dirty word.
We have also learned that the Constitution of the United States is outdated and not to be taken too seriously. This is really the final danger and where everything will begin to fall apart for good.
We need to start waking up right now from the comfortable sleep we've been lulled into if we want to save our country and remain a free people and the independent beacon of freedom for the rest of the world.
